About the BioMC
The University of Toronto Biomaterials Manufacturing Cluster (BioMC) is an interdisciplinary network of researchers with complementary resources and expertise in materials science, manufacturing, chemistry, medicine, physics, machine learning, biology, and medical devices.
The BioMC was created to leverage individual and specialized research capabilities to accelerate biomedical manufacturing innovations to address the enormous health challenges facing the world today. By combining resources and in collaboration with a wide network of industry and clinical partners, the BioMC can rapidly initiate and deploy ambitious, international, biomaterials projects beyond the reach of single labs or even a single institution.
The BioMC is committed to establishing an interdisciplinary, self-funded, international biomaterials and device manufacturing program that supports trainee research and education that emphasizes the link between research with clinical and industry needs and international exchanges and collaborations.
If you would like to join the BioMC, please approach one of the current members to request a nomination letter to be sent to biomc@utoronto.ca.
